The first devlog for my game.
This is my first ever devlog, so I will be deviding into parts ,
1-what engine I use and why I chose it
2-the decisions made to shape the game
3- what I have in mind for the future
1-I use the godot engine since I tend use the animationplayer node for almost everything to make things based on what animations are played , I have tried unity but I didn't really like it that much(THE LOAD TIMES) and also the way the signals are used and I just liked godot a a lot more.
2- The game will be about the player having the sin of wrath, so mostly offensive and fast, compared to others, each sin will have it's own theme the first being gluttony ,and you will battle him at his own restaurant.
Now for visuals ,I was already learning pixel art when I decided to make it so I started with a big artstyle ,but I didn't feel like it was my artstyle ,and also I wasted waaaay too much time on it,so I scrapped it and I chose an artstyle with smaller characters,so I can still make multiple characters without each one taking two days, And finally I changed the main menu from the gradient to the one having all the symbols of the sins.
3-As for the future of my game, due to me starting college soon I will have to work slowr, tho I will keep working on it, hopefully in this month I will publish a demo for the first level and having the first boss, as for the rest of the game I have great ideas for the story and to polish the gameplay more.
If you have read everything Thank you so much for your time and I hope you stay with me for this adventure.
And finally ,the game is gonna be 100% free ,I don't want people to pay for it since I want people to have fun and enjoy it,it will be on pc and android
