changing everything
Ok, so after working on this game for about 4 months then not working for another month(this is the third time I do this I need to stop getting burnt out) ,I decided on changing everything.
The first decision I made was to change the gameplay loop, it was supposed to be level based, but I was too lazy to make levels, so I made a procedural dungeon generator, as you can see in the first pic, it won't have doors so u can run by everyone, there will be a speedometer so playing fast will be a good option, of course with it's own risks.
second is art, I didn't have a coherent theme, so scraped everything and decided to restart I still have no enemies and only 3 weapons, that you will see in the second picture, I have a lot of ideas for weapons I want to add in the future but for now I guess this is enough.
third is gameplay, Instead of having a level system, it will be a roguelike, so basic roguelike formula ,but with the speed twist and weapons having alt fires that change depending on the weapons, an example would be the green pistol will have 2 one which makes it faster and the second is a beam.
This is all I have for now as I am a solo developer I'm trying to find a team however I am working for free and this is a hobby so finding someone willing to work as a hobby is really hard.
